Our client is an international organization active worldwide and searching for a Health and Safety Manager (Central and Southern Europe Area)
The ideal candidate has the following requirements:
Ideal profile:
1. Holds a Master degree in engineering or equivalent field; a BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred;
2. More than 5 years of experience in international/European Health and Safety (H&S) roles;
3. Fluent both in Italian and English; the knowledge of German or Greek will be considered a plus;
4. IT Proficiency;
5. Deep understanding of health and safety practices in a multi-site setting, preferably with international exposure.
6. Proven track record in creating, implementing, and managing multi-site H&S management systems, preferably with international experience;
7. Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, from Directors to Gardeners;
8. Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent with significant H&S Management experience;
9. Chartered membership (or working towards) of IOSH will be considered a plus;
10. Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture;
11. Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
12. Must be able to influence and negotiate both inside and outside the organization;
13. Must be comfortable dealing with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy;
14. Availability to travel internationally.
The chosen candidate will autonomously perform the following activities:
Develop and maintain the C&SEA Health and Safety Management system, ensuring compliance with legislation, Global Standards, ISO 45001, and CWGC policies and procedures.
Act as the principal point of contact for external H&S professionals, including consultants and occupational health professionals, and manage their performance effectively.
Provide assistance to the Area regarding environmental and sustainability issues, ensuring alignment with health and safety objectives.
Regularly report on the current health and safety performance of the business to relevant stakeholders.
Drive a positive safety culture across the Area, fostering awareness and engagement among employees.
Keep abreast of existing, new, and emerging legislation, leading projects to ensure compliance in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop an annual monitoring plan and oversee incident investigation processes, ensuring timely action is taken where necessary.
Manage the content and flow of regular health and safety communications, engaging employees and promoting positive health and safety practices.
Develop and present a strategic health and safety plan to the Senior Management Team, overseeing its successful implementation.
Conduct audits and inspections of sites, identify areas for improvement, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate the update and maintenance of the Areas Health and Safety Manual and associated documentation.
Manage and monitor delegated budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and achievement of health and safety goals.
Develop and manage global risk assessments, support Area Directors with local H&S action plans.
Promote and develop a Safety Culture, undertake environmental, health, and safety planning, and prepare Business Continuity Plans when necessary.

Indicative allocation and salary: full time permanent employment contract (35 hours/week with flexibility), CCNL Commercio; Gross annual salary to be defined based on candidate's experience (minimum 40K); smart working 2 days/week; other benefits will be described during the interviews.
